A historic U.S. Flag is on a journey of remembrance, reverence, and pride as it travels to every U.S. cemetery overseas, every U.S. territory, and every U.S. state. The Flag Sojourn 250 campaign nears its end as it touches the thirteen original colonies and finishes its journey in Washington, D.C. in July 2026.
The Flag’s historic odyssey honors America’s rich past, present, and future, including those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Flag Sojourn 250 is a project of national unity from the National Flag Foundation and America250’s America Waves program an epic tribute campaign to the greatest American symbol: the American Flag.

The Flag’s final full chapter unfolds over thirteen community gatherings across the Pittsburgh region, July 1–4, 2026, before the American Legion carries it to Washington, D.C. for the nation’s 250th.
