FLAG SOJOURN 250 CAMPAIGN WITH AMERICA250

As America marches toward its Semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026, the National Flag Foundation (NFF) and America250 send a single U.S. flag on a moving and majestic journey in tribute to our nation and our citizens.

The Flag Sojourn 250 is more than a journey — it is a solemn Sojourn. The Flag Sojourn 250 honors our nation’s most prized symbol, and pays tribute to all of our countrymen and women, including those who have given their lives in service to the ideals The Flag represents.

The odyssey began on Flag Day, June 14, 2025, with a humble yet poignant ceremony hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America. In this reverent moment, the NFF presented an American Flag to representatives of the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), launching a year-long voyage that will stir the hearts of a nation.

The Flag traveled to distant shores where our soldiers and others who gave their lives in our war efforts are buried, touching all 26 U.S. military cemeteries in ten countries. It also traveled to U.S. territories in the Pacific and the Atlantic. On October 8, 2025, The Flag returned to America.

With the help of The National Sheriffs’ Association, this special flag will be carried with reverence on a domestic passage across our country to further its storied path, ending its journey in Washington, D.C. in July 2026 when The Flag will be formally presented to the America 250th Committee and raised in the heart of our nation as for a final salute to national unity and the American Spirit.

Every mile of this historic sojourn can be followed by Americans on the NFF’s website via unique geo-spatial interactive maps, photos, videos and personal narratives. The online experience calls visitors to the NFF website to bear witness to this remarkable journey of honor and unity.

This is not just a journey of a Flag—it is a journey of the American Spirit.
